- AHHHHH the Grease OPI line!!!! I’m definitely choosing my next nail color from there!
Christina had sent this pic of me listening to the Grease album a few days before I saw the new colors! Ha!
- I saw those colors when I was at the salon getting at touch-up on my 5K nails. I hope it’s not an omen that one peeled so early!!! Eek! (At this rate, it seems I’ll have gloves on for the race anyway – my mom said it’s supposed to be really cold there.)
- I finished reading The French Girl, and started reading Immortal Life. Immortal Life is a sci-fi novel set in the future, about a 127 year old man who is transferring his consciousness to a younger host, because his original body is so decayed, and he wants to live forever. It’s interesting, but the writing style is difficult for me to read – long descriptions with lots of “fancy” (read: “I’m going to show off my vocabulary”) words. Eh. I will keep at it, and keep using my dictionary.com app.
- I confirmed at my local Starbucks Tuesday that they are phasing out the “You Are Here” mugs. But the “Been There” mugs sign says they will have a mug for all fifty states (and some destinations) so that’s cool – Iowa never had one before, and now it will! Woot!
- And now for some super random ish:
- I like it when an e-commerce site uses Amazon Pay and I don’t have to re-enter all my info to order – I just log in to my Amazon account and the site grabs it from there. It’s especially convenient when I am ordering from my phone. This will probably bite me in the a$$, as I bet Amazon Pay gives those sites more info than they need. But man, it’s so convenient.
- I’ve recently started adding raisins to my salads (ha, after Steven’s been suggesting it for a year) and WHOA does it make a world of difference! Yum! (A few people suggested cranberries, when I told them I like raisins. I tried them and didn’t care for them as much. Shrug.)
- I bought this eucalyptus mint soap to try and the scent of it takes me and Steven back to when we first moved in to our home, two years ago. Neither of us remembers why we had this scent at the house before though (it’s not one of the usual scents we use), and it’s making me crazy that I can’t recall (since one of my jobs at home is sentiment/scent manager). But at the same time, each time I use it, I’m like “aww, we’ve lived here two years!”
I loved Grease, saw the movie a bunch of times in the theater, and that same album (and I remember studying it too, LOL), still know all the songs. I may just have to go get a pedicure with some Grease polish now!
I prefer Craisins in my salads, but raisins will do in a pinch. Something about the little bit of sweetness that really makes the salad pop.
As for the mugs, SIGH. I’m sure I will grow to love the new ones? As you know, I have already adopted a new Texas mug but still haven’t let it out of the box just yet…baby steps.
Yay! I love that you are a fellow Grease fan! Have you ever gone to a sign-along? I haven’t, but I know they do it out here, and it sounds fun. Would you get “Was It All Just A Dream”? to match your car? 😉
The Craisins were what I tried! I don’t understand why I didn’t like them as much. Maybe they don’t go as well with ranch, HA! What dressing do you use?
You will, you will. That little guy in the box will help you, once you’re ready for him to 😉
I think I’d either go for You’re the Shade That I Want, or Teal Me More, Teal Me More – so fun!
I use a balsamic vinaigrette and that seems to pair nicely (ahhh, like a fine wine LOL) with the fruity craisins.
I was thinking about getting You’re The Shade That I Want, then I saw that was the only one missing from the pic at my salon! Ha!
So fance! I should try. Do you make your own or buy one?
Aw, that Grease picture is cute! I remember watching that movie non-stop in junior high. Maybe it was on cable a lot then?
I see your question about dressing with craisins – I make a balsamic or apple cider vinaigrette when I have fruit and otherwise sweet stuff on my salads. I think that goes a lot better with them than ranch would
I bought that same soap for Terry, who insisted I get him “dude friendly” soaps, since Steven gets some lol. It’s not my favorite, but apparently I prefer my hands smelling like dessert 🙂
Maybe! It should forever be looping on some channel.
Ahh, that must be it. I will be on my ranch kick for a few more years, so I will have to stick with raisins 😉
Ha! Terry! I like my bathroom hands smelling like dessert, and my kitchen hands smelling like lemon/herby/planty things 😉
I like my soap to smell like
Pine
Apple.
Muahahaha.
OMG YOU SLAY ME. Literally LOLing.
Amazon is way to convenient in general. I get very click happy ha ha!
If you want to continue to mix it up you can also try pomegranate seeds…that and a little lime juice, delicious.
It sure is!
Oooo, what are those like – crunchy or soft?
Were you all legs as a child? That is such a cute (and very 90’s) picture!
Gosh! I didn’t think so, but maybe?! I will have to ask. Ha. Thanks! 🙂
I got chills, they’re multiplying…
Love the picture – I loved Grease, too!
It’s the best! I saw yesterday that it’s Grease’s 40th anniversary of the release – I wonder if that’s why they did the polish line!
Do you prefer black or golden raisins in general and in your salad? I put fritos on my salad, and I thought they were delicious! If you put something sweet like raisins on your salad, can you do something savory like Ranch dressing or onions?
I like those grease colors, especially teal. (But what in “Grease” is teal?) Which colors are you leaning towards?
Oh! Black! I should try golden too. OMG I FREAKING LOVE FRITOS. I actually put fried onion straws on my salad. #sohealthysovegan And I do do the raisins with ranch dressing!
Ha! I am not sure what is teal in Grease! I am leaning toward this dark pink “You’re The Shade I Want.”
I love sites that accept PayPal for the same reason. It often helps that I get paid for all my burlesque stuff via PayPal, so sometimes there is a balance and it’s like “free” money hahahahaha.
Ha! It is though!
