- Is anyone else listening to Sia’s new album, Everyday is Christmas? I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago (thanks to a recommendation from a Facebook friend, Susan) and have been listening to it on repeat! Yay, new Christmas music!
- On Tuesday Facebook changed the size of group page cover images, making all existing images cropped. I was annoyed, but figured I’d just reformat them. I changed the images to the two pages I administer to the new size, but every time I uploaded them (at the right size), Facebook zoomed in on them, essentially cropping them, again. I tried a few more times and eventually just padded the images so that you could see the content. What a sloppy annoying mess.
- The honeymoon period has worn off with my work detail. I still like the work itself significantly more than my last position, but some of the typical office bs that I was able to deal with better at the beginning of the detail is starting to get to me now. I’m not surprised. Just tired.
- My mom is doing the Holiday Mile Challenge with me and is kicking butt at walking her mile each day. I’m proud of you, Mom!
- Here’s the watch face I am rocking right meow! (The snowflakes “fall” in the background!) Notice – no visible step count, ha ha ha.

I had no idea about the Facebook group cover image change, but that is SO bonkers!! Why would they make it so difficult to get your image to show up correctly?! I assume it’s a bug, so hopefully it’ll get resolved quickly, but then you’ll have to change everything AGAIN. What a hassle!
I hope it’s a bug also. It was just so infuriating to make it the right size over and over and then to have it keep self cropping! I don’t get it (and the only reason it’s a big deal is because the image has the class hours on it at the studio I teach and it needs to be visible).

I love that you can personalize your Garmin. My model doesn’t have that capacity…the app is working again though 🙂
It only did it to groups, so your page should be okay! (if it’s set up as a page)

Ugh, I wonder how the product manager discussion with at Facebook about making that decision for users. “We’re gonna change the design so that the image cropper now exhibits this behavior. Some users will be upset, but we think that ultimately, so many people will LOVE this change and we’re making the world a better place!”

Ha ha ha. I really wonder about that too. Like, is this a mistake?!?!? Does someone benefit from their image being cropped when they upload it?!
Ahhh, that explains all the notifications about you changing group cover pages on FB. Why do they keep making dumb changes like that?!
That’s cool that your mom is doing the holiday mile too! It’s been a fun way to make me get out there for a longer walk on my rest days (since I normally wouldn’t).
Yeah, sigh. Who knows! I kind of panicked and thought they may have changed business page covers too, but they didn’t. Phew.
