- It would be inappropriate (and boring) to talk about the stuff at work that makes me nuts, but a lot of times, I make a list of it and imagine posting about it here. Ha. Doing that, along with venting with coworkers, helps!
Awesome picture, right?!
- More vagueposting – it feels ironic, that as someone who shares personal information on the internet, there are people out there I don’t want knowing mundane information about my life. It’s not because of knowledge reasons, but what they do with the information – hold it against me, overreact, or gossip about it. It’s hard for me to NOT share things, but I know it’s better off in the long run, with certain people. Ugh. (Most of it’s harmless, just annoying. Example – somehow other people have information I only told YOU, that I would have liked to share with them myself.)
- On to the mundane! Steven and I are always looking for a show to watch during our lunch breaks. We watched Parks and Recreation, then tried to watch Extant, then watched Big Little Lies. Now we’ve decided to rewatch Game of Thrones. We’re catching a lot more watching it the second time, which is fun! Sometimes Khaleesi watches the TV when her namesake is on, which always makes me laugh. I haven’t grabbed a photo of that, but here she is watching The Secret Life of Pets:
- My parents are visiting in June and this will be their FIRST trip to our “new” home without an entire weekend of labor involved (they’ve been here twice but once was for the move and the other time was to help with the second floor attic work). I am looking forward to them being here with the house put together and having more “free” time… along with a few projects, of course. Ha ha.
She really is watching it ha ha!
She is! It’s so funny to us that she is interested in TV, because Data is not, at all.
Having co-workers to vent about work stuff with is a huge help! Every time I’m in the office, my cube-mate and I spend a good hour bitching (while getting coffee and breakfast too – we’re not totally unproductive), and it makes a big difference.
I just started reading Big Little Lies on the train the other day! Thus far I think it’s really good. Did you read the book too, or just watch the show?
I’m glad you’ll be able to have a mostly fun (and not work-filled) visit with your parents next month!
It helps SO much. Just to get it out and talk to someone who gets it. And over coffee and breakfast sounds great.
I only watched the show! But my snis told me she really liked the book and I read the wikipedia synopsis of it to see what was different from the show.
Me too! So many fun things planned (in my head)!
I was at lunch yesterday, and the restaurant was playing “The Secret Life of Pets.” Would you recommend it? I didn’t think it looked very interesting from the trailer.
Do you only vent to co-workers about your work stress so as not to bring it home?
I wouldn’t. I didn’t really care for it and thought it was a bit dark.
Hmmm. Nah, since I work from home, Steven gets to hear it sometimes too. I get more “in to” it with coworkers if that makes sense. When I tell Steven I try hard to be concise. LOL.
That picture of Khaleesi watching TV is so adorable! I always tried to get my dog to watch TV and he couldn’t have seemed less interested. Though I think I heard once that dogs can only see in 3D, so they can’t see things on TV screens? I have no idea if that’s true, but it would at least make me feel better about my dog’s lack of interest in my favorite shows. Hahaha π
Ha! Maybe he needed to try one of those 3D TVs!!!
What a cute picture – none of my current animals notice the TV, but previous ones have and it’s pretty funny. I have a friend who turns on the TV to an animal show for her Husky when she leaves the house, LOL.
We have friends who turn on the TV for their pets too! Good idea, if it makes them feel calm when you’re out! π
Heidi watches HGTV when she’s home alone. She’s ready to flip some houses π
She should help Steven with some projects before you move!
OMG!!! I love that picture. I need to get a picture of Lola watch TV too.
When I was still on LiveJournal and writing everything “Friends only” I decided to block one of my friends because even though she never posted, she would still log into LJ and read my posts (and I assume other people’s posts?) and it was really weird because by that point only like 5 people I knew were still using LJ and we were all posting really personal stuff … but she wasn’t also posting personal stuff (or anything) so I was like … tit for tat, if you don’t post, then I’m not sharing.
Ha ha. It would seem odd, back then, when no one else was posting! Now we have all sorts of open platforms and don’t think much about who sees it! I am often surprised when someone I don’t expect reads my blog, tells me they do.
I always get weirded out when non-blogger friends mention reading my blog or something they saw on my blog. Like … why are you reading it? It’s not that interesting … LOL.
LOL! They are reading it because they’re interested in your life but not a blogger. Or they’re nosy π
