Just kidding! I bet my coworkers thought it was totally normal when they asked me what I was knitting in the break room and I answered, “A scarf. For a cat.”
Oh man Data looks like he’ll cut you if you try to take it off him π well done! Cb says he would like a scarf too. One to match his eyes π he says he can’t let Dates be the only cool cat with a scarf.
They were being hilarious about it yesterday. One guy says to me “You really think a cat is going to wear that?” So I show him this pic! Then a lady comes in to the breakroom and asks “What are you knitting me?!” Tries the scarf on and says “Oh, my neck is too big.” LOL! People π
Thanks! I can’t wait to knit Data more things. Hahahahah
As a cat lover in my opinion it is normal to knit a scarf for our friends.
He is very elegant and refined.

This is amazing in every way!!
Hi! I’m Kim, a 40-something-year-old living in northeastern Illinois with my husband Steven, and our cats, Khaleesi, Apollo, Starbuck, and Eddard aka Ned. My current main hobbies are running, painting rocks, flying, reading, and eating. I follow a vegan lifestyle and am employed by the federal government. I write about a variety of topics and consider this a “life” blog – a place I can share anything that’s on my mind. Please visit the “About” page to get a better idea of who I am! π
HA! Data is trying to look like he hates that scarf, but he obviously loves it.
He totally does! He asked for others in various color patterns (he said R&W don’t quite go with his fur tone).
Totally normal, Kim. Don’t let anyone tell you different. π
Phew, thanks, Julie! π
Our secretary is such a sweetie. She asked me, then even asked what color the cat’s fur was, that the scarf was for! π
Oooh I like those colors!!!! π
Hahah I’m dying laughing about you knitting a teeny cat scarf. No biggie d.
Data thought you would like those colors!!! π
No biggie d at all. Just a normal young adult, knitting a cat scarf…
He’s so handsome! With or without the scarf. How about Fluffy?
OMG! I should totally make a little one for Fluffy! Ha! It would just be two stitches wide. Changing colors would be a total PITA! Ha!
But he’s family and you’re knitting for family. If R&W doesn’t go with his fur, what about a good teal color?
Hee hee, this (and another!) are actually for someone else’s cats, which makes me even stranger! But I like the idea of teal!!! π
It looks so good on him!!
Data looks stunning!
Love the scarf!!! You did a great job!!! And Data is a terrific model, too. =)
Data is such a trend setter. Now ALL the cats will be wearing one!
Ha! That would be a sight to see! π
Oh man Data looks like he’ll cut you if you try to take it off him π well done! Cb says he would like a scarf too. One to match his eyes π he says he can’t let Dates be the only cool cat with a scarf.
Thanks! Hmm, what color are his eyes? I will have to get some more yarn π
I’m sure your co-workers understood that knitting a scarf for Data is always a worthy pursuit and way to spend your time. He looks so classy.

I agree, totally normal! Data looks incredibly handsome in his new scarf.
Data rocks the Waldo look! You need to do a Who Wore it Better?
