Just peel off your finish time, no matter how pathetic far off your goal! Apply to most visible magnetic surface.
I should have peeled off a fake finish time! Ha ha. Just kidding.
This Grana Padano Thing
What is this thing? Apparently Grana Padano is cheese. Does this thing have something to do with cheese? I saw a lot of people wearing it different ways on marathon day. Some ideas we all came up with:
What’s the coolest thing you’ve found in a race schwag bag?
I still think my favorite is the ice pack from the Milwaukee Marathon! That thing comes in handy!
That magnet is sweet!
I never get cool swag… Although I am getting a nice windbreaker jacket at my next race instead of a shirt but that is less swag and more premium for paying for the race.
That ice pack would probably be my favorite too.

Ha! Your pictures are funny. What IS that cheese thing? I had the same conversation with myself! I think it may be a buff, but I don’t know that I’ll be running around this winter with a mysterious cheese thing on my neck or face.
I guess we are supposed to wear it on our heads or necks? You should model yours for us!
We got something similar to the yellow cloth tube from the North Face rep at a run last winter. He called it a neck gaiter. I modeled mine here. They come in handy when it’s chilly and your top or jacket doesn’t quite cover your neck entirely. But, yes, you can also use it as a head covering.
The Timex thing is a neat swag bag item!

aww, neat swag from timex! it’s nice when there’s some USEFUL swag, since most of it heads straight to the trash 😛
Haha, your tube top comment cracks me up! I’d say that the cheese thing is a buff – I have 2 (one from a race bag) and I wear them as winter style hats sometimes.
Coolest thing I’ve gotten in a bag? Hmm… I got screen printed calf sleeves from Leona Divide, but I had such a bad experience with the race I don’t wear them often. If they were arm sleeves I think I’d wear them more. At the Jundred this weekend, our bag was a screen printed, flexible cooler. I can see it being a good tailgate item 🙂
I kind of want to run NYC now for that cool magnet. But I can’t see that ever happening. Cool swag, though!
I don’t do too many large races with cool swag. I usually get brochures for races and yucky food samples. 😉
That magnet is super cool! I use race shirts, so I appreciate those the most. I like the arm warmers I got from TCM too…

I love that magnet thing! Looks pretty cool! I think one of the best things I ever got from a race was hair ties and at the 15k I run in the summer, we get cool beer glasses.
