- It seems like lately my blog is a lot of “I bought this” and “look at me” (okay, more than normal at the “look at me” part). I don’t mean to be obnoxious. I just like to share the things I am excited about. Some of the bullets below are similar… so skip if you want!
- Steven just got back from a work trip to Jersey City/NYC! Why don’t I get to go cool places for work? Alright, I have gone to D.C. twice and thought that was awesome. Anyway, you could see the NYC skyline from the hotel Steven was staying in. And he saw people running on this boardwalk next to the hotel and he said it made him think of me.
- Steven brought me back a bracelet and chocolate. He definitely knows the way to my heart!
- Speaking of NYC, our friends from NYC are coming to visit next weekend. I am super excited to show them around.
- Our new camera came! I have not taken many photos with it yet, but am excited to try it out. It does seem a bit more plastic-y and cheaper than our last Canon, but I hope it holds out. Here are some comparison pictures – the new camera is the orange one (I think I bought the silver one in 2004 – we’ve had it awhile!).
- I upgraded to the newest version of WordPress last week and it really messes up bulleted posts (photo alignment), and won’t let me edit much coding. And the visual editor is all messed up. I tried a plugin install and that didn’t help much. Maybe I will try Live Writer (probably not). Oh well. It doesn’t seem to be holding me back from posting!
- I feel totally dumped on at work lately. I like being busy, but not dumped on.
- I think it’s annoying when people complain about the rain – what can you do about it, right? But seriously, I have gotten rained on every day this week, on the walk to the train, to the office, back to the train, and home. Sigh. So… I am trying not to complain about it and am looking forward to a break from the rain!
- I think we will have a break from the rain this weekend. Right now the forecast for Sunday’s marathon is sunny and a high of 62! Sounds good to me!
We gladly take the rain here in central IL!!! It seemed like Chicago was constantly being blasted by rain this summer and we had a 3 month drought.
I hear you about the rain – Getting the kids to and from school in a downpour is not so much fun. But this weekend? Looks FANTASTIC!
I have the powershot (not the Elph) in black, and it looks really similar to your orange camera. I’ve been really happy with it.

Steven told me it is Belgian and I thought of you! He said they ship it there every day so I have to eat the individual pieces (not the bar) within 3 days. That shouldn’t be a problem!
I feel dumped on at work, too! But I don’t have a cool co-worker that makes pretty headbands wahhh! I love your orange camera! Save me some chocolate! : )

Steven said I have to eat the chocolate within three days since it was shipped from Belgium! But I can save part of the bar… maybe… 😛
I just got a new camera too! I was going to get a canon but then I tried the Nikon and liked it because it had a better zoom. Still have to learn how to use it! lol
I discovered this morning while walking in the downpour that my rain boots are no longer waterproof. Can I complain about that? Now I have to find new rain boots. Blech.
You may complain about that 🙂 I wonder if I should get rain boots. Do they sell bright yellow once for adults?

How close are you to NYC? I will be there for a whole week in Nov. And I might move to DC for four months, but that is still up in the air.
I want one of those headbands!!! So unbelievably cute!!! I am so afraid to update my WordPress or plug-ins! Last time I updated a few plug-ins they totally screwed up my whole blog!
I asked my coworker if I could buy some to giveaway. She said yes so hopefully I will have a giveaway sometime in the next month or so!
Yeah, I avoided the update for that very same reason!!!

So far I am really loving it. It has a lot of fun features, like fish eye, vivid, etc. I am having fun playing around with those 🙂

Being the geek I am and seeing that no one else asked what model Canon camera is the orange camera above, I’m very curious to know.
As for the WordPress upgrade, I did that on one of my blogs and did a template upgrade at the same time. Changed a lot and broke a few things that I had to put back together. These upgrades sometimes can cause havoc.
It’s the “Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS 12 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 4X Optical Zoom (Orange).” Our last Canon was the 500 series but this one is amazing (so far!). Steven is excited that it takes high res videos.
