Do you wear a watch on a regular basis?
Steven got me a really nice Movado watch when I graduated from college in May of 2007. But the battery died about two years ago and I haven’t worn it since! Too lazy to get a new battery! Steven and I thought that had to come to an end so we took three watches to the jeweler last week to get them cleaned and have the batteries replaced. It will be weird to wear a watch on a regular basis again! Now I only wear a watch when I am running!
I usually just check my cell phone for the time, or my computer!
Just my Garmin. I bought a cheap watch to wear to take the PE so I could keep on time with the questions, and I thought that I’d wear it during flights (my electronics with clocks are usually stashed) but that didn’t really catch on. Guess I can use the watch again in 4 years when I take the SE… Things to look forward to.
Always, except maybe on some hot days in the summer. I have a small collection (hoping it always grows) that I love. As you can tell, I’m a watch guy.
When we went to get new batteries for our watches we looked at a lot of them and guessed at which ones you would like! π
I wear a watch every day that I”m teaching because my life is run by bells. I have everything timed down to the minute. π In the summer, I refuse to wear a watch!
I think I would just wear one for fashion reasons (I’m so picky and want one, just haven’t found one I really love). Because yeah- I use my cell phone for such things…
Hi! I don’t always wear a watch. Most of the time I don’t. If I’m teaching yoga, I try to, so that I can stay on track without being obvious that I’m watching the clock. I love my watch, but it’s a sport watch and clunky and just doesn’t work with my every day wear.
My husband bought me a nice watch when I got my new job in December 2009. I actually wore it on the days I wasn’t working, too. I liked wearing a watch. Of course, with the heat this summer and swelling from my pregnancy, I haven’t been wearing it.
I stopped wearing my watch when the battery died too. Its not like I could tell the time on it anyhow, it didnt have any numbers. I just wore it because it looked pretty.
LOL. My watch is totally a piece of jewelry and I cannot tell the time on it either!
That’s funny – except for my garmin, I don’t anymore. As soon as I got a smartphone, I stopped…but I used to ALL the time!
I’ve been wearing a watch every day since at least junior high, if not longer. When I forget my watch I feel naked! I honestly don’t understand just checking a phone for the time because I don’t typically have my phone “on” me. It’s usually in my purse and I don’t carry my purse around the house or to meetings outside my building.
I very rarely wear a watch! I have one that I used to wear quite frequently, and I think its really beautiful, but usually it just gets in the way or bothers me all day. Plus it takes me about 5 minutes to figure out what time it is on a clock with hands…… (Embarrassing!) I do have a small watch that I got from Grandpa PT that is silver and red. I think he got it at a flea market or something like that, pretty sure he gave one to each of us? Did you get one? They were all different and the kind that don’t close all the way, but clamp on to your wrist.. I can’t think of the word for that right now. Anyways, I wear that watch every now and then because it reminds me of him.
I don’t think I have one! I like that it reminds you of Grandpa Pete π
I also cannot tell time! π
I still wear one but also get lazy once the battery dies. Not as bad as Katie, though, who has three dead watches. About a decade dead on the oldest. Gifts from me.
I wear a Swiss Army watch that has been beaten up a LOT! It is going on 7 years old, but I honestly LOVE this watch and will hopefully have many, many more years with it. I wear it almost all the time, except for when I need to replace a part (battery, band…). When I run, I occasionally wear a stopwatch if I’m trying to keep track of exact time, but usually I’m happy with this watch.
I do think that a super nice watch would worry me! I feel that I always lose things that are nice!
Yes, I wear a watch every day and feel naked without it. Mine is a simple silver Fossil with an iridescent face that I love.
I used to wear one all the time! From when I was in about 4th grade through college and beyond. People would ask me what I was doing that evening and I’d have to look at my watch (to remind me what day of the week it was) before I could respond. I go back and forth now but haven’t worn a watch in about 6 months other than my Garmin. I used to sport a crazy-intense watch tan line (both of my parents have these) but decided I wanted to lose it so I stopped wearing my watch. Up until recently though I had a very distinct tan line from my Garmin watch band.
I wore that watch I won from your site for a while when I first got it but it ran super slow and didn’t feel like resetting it every other day so I stopped.
Yeah, sorry about that. Those things were junk, weren’t they? I liked wearing it, but I had to reset it every few days! So weird!
I have a drawer full of Swatch watches that I wear on occasion. Maybe once a week. I miss wearing watches, but the bottom of the watch tends to scratch the pad on my MacBook Pro, so even when I do wear one, I take it off when I am on the computer.
