In December I won a Nike + Sportband and planned on giving it to someone for the holidays. After discussing it with Steven, we decided that person wouldn’t use it, and the Nike + Sportband has just been sitting on a shelf since then, not even opened!
Surely one of you would use it, or know someone else who would? Maybe a newer runner who does not have a Garmin?
While walking/running the Nike + Sportband keeps track of:
- pace
- distance
- time
- calories burned
I’ve never used one, but you probably have to calibrate it, then can upload your workout data and look at your stats online.
Anyone interested, or have a friend/family member who would use it?

I think Dave would love this! He’s been running more but doesn’t factor pace/distance in (he doesn’t have a million routes burned into his head like I do).
My little sister could totally use this. We run our races together but we can’t train together, so the only way she keeps track of her miles is by doing them on a treadmill. How boring!
My husband is obsessed w/ numbers (engineer w/ a math minor) and likes running. This would be a wonderful birthday gift for him. OR… our fetus could give it to him for Father’s Day. :0)

I think my Mom or fiance or friend who just got into running would really enjoy this. My Mom’s birthday is coming up too (not to mention mother’s day right after)!
I could use that, I have started to work out and I have a goal to increase my endurance in running.
What a sweet giveaway! I would give it to my boyfriend, who would like to get started on a Couch to 5K program. This would be handy for him and not as intimidating as the Garmin 🙂
This is such a great idea. I know my mom would use it. Shes been talking about getting back into running, because she wants to “get back into shape”. Even though Im certain she could still run circles around me. 🙂
I would use this! I could really use this type of device for training for my 10k as I have nothing now that helps with any of those factors that I so desperately want to keep track of with each run!

I would love to have this sprotband.
I am an out of shape guy turning 40.
I am currently training for my 1st marathon.
I am on week 1 of my training again. I hurt my knees running 3 weeks ago. (I said I am out of shape).
This would help me keep track of the miles for my training.
And like the most people, I love freebies.

omg-ME ME ME!!! I WOULD USE THIS!!!! I really really want to start running again – it’s my 2011 goal – and I think something like this would truly motivate me because I love numbers and geeky things like pivot tables and pie charts! 🙂
I would love to have this, I’m trying to get off the treadmill and when I do, I have no way to know how I did!!
