Which household chores do you like and which do you try to avoid?
I will do the laundry, clean toilets, vacuum, and wash and put away clean dishes any day.
House guests – don’t worry, this (above) only happened once, over a year ago
But otherwise, keep me out of the kitchen. I HATE cleaning the stove top and mopping the floor – I think because I feel like I can never really get them clean! And dusting? No thanks!
And if paying bills was a “household chore” that would definitely be on the list too!
Data is so funny!! I love to cook and do laundry and vacuum but I hate to unload the dishwasher or do the dishes.
I don’t mind washing and putting away dishes or doing laundry (though I am not as fond of putting laundry away). I am not a huge fan of cleaning floors though, especially sweeping and mopping. Vacuuming isn’t too bad but how come I always break a sweat while vacuuming? Is it really that strenuous?
I get sweaty when I do it too!

I hate cleaning bathrooms (with four men in the house – ugh) but I enjoy doing laundry.
I like laundry and cleaning bathrooms (oh how I love a sparkling wc). I love to cook but hate to cleanup. I’m fine with dishes. Stovetop? Hate cleaning it. I’ll sweep but no mopping for me, thanks. Not a fan of the vacuum either but I’ll dust if I have to.
i always say that my mom taught me the most important thing about cleaning a house…. how to hire someone else to do it.
now, given that i live in an 400-square-foot, 2 car garage that was converted into an apartment, and my boyfriend and i are living off of just my salary i’m waiting for the day that (1)he gets a job and (2)we get a real house, but then i’m all over this hiring-a-cleaning-lady business!
I like cleaning the kitchen — I guess because it’s the room I enjoy spending time in — but hate scrubbing the bathroom!
I like most cleaning chores but there are a few weird things that I don’t like:
-dusting
-putting pillow cases on pillows
-unloading the dishwasher
I’m not sure I like any household chores, to be honest. I guess I don’t mind folding and putting away laundry. I like it when my laundry basket is empty. However, I hate doing dishes or changing the sheets on the bed. I will pawn those off any chance I get.
UGH! I hate changing sheets on the bed too! I should ask your mom to teach me how to make the bed look nice. The guest bedroom looked so pretty at her house!
If I had a washer & dryer in my place, I would probably not mind the laundry so much. But ugh…3 floors in the cold??? DO NOT LIKE.
I hate paying bills too, it depresses me.
Hm, there aren’t really any chores I *like*, but I don’t mind cleaning the kitchen & bathroom. 🙂

My house has needed vacuuming for like 2 months now, and it takes no time at all, but somehow can’t bring myself to do it… I know it’ll def get done before Troy comes to visit though – I can get things done when there’s a deadline!
And, Data is the cutest! I blame all of your great pictures of him for spurring my recent want of a cat.

Putting away laundry. I hate it, and usually just leave my clean laundry in a pile on my floor until Im completely out of clothes to wear.
I kinda like to clean. It’s the neat freak in me.
That being said, I hate folding and putting away laundry. Loathe scrubbing the shower/tub. And have great disdain for cleaning the oven (inside, stove top is ok). It’d also be great if the litter box would just clean itself.
I HATE scrubbing the tub/shower; therefore, Matt does it. I also really don’t like handwashing dishes (we have a dishwasher though) so if we have larger things or things that have to be hand washed Matt will wash and I dry and put away (which I prefer). Don’t really mind other tasks but if “outside” is considered a task, then count that too…I hate weeding and blowing leaves and while we are fortunate to be able to hire out some of those tasks, I am looking forward to being able to hire all of that out. (Our house is on nearly an acre and the upkeep is WAY too time consuming)
I also hate dusting. Ughhhh, and vacuuming. I hate having to get it under furniture. It’s just so heavy and unwieldy.
Strangely enough, I do like cleaning the stove because I feel like I can get it sparkly clean.

I don’t mind kitchen duty; vaccumming and that’s about it. : ) Data can help me unload the dishwasher any day!
I hate doing the dishes. I do all the grocery shopping and prepare dinner once in a while, and M. Hubby does the dishes and wipes down the kitchen.
I like doing 1/2 the laundry. I like the actual laundry part, but can never find time to fold the clothes … though I actually like doing that too. What happens is that I wash and pile (huge heaps) of clothes on the counter above the washer and dryer. Then, my husband and I sift through the piles to get clean stuff when we need it.
In the event I do actually find the opportunity to fold, I usually leave the folded clothes in the laundry room – because one thing I really HATE is putting them away 😉
A much smaller list would be what chores I can get into doing. Just one; cooking!

My top 3 most hated chores are washing the tub, sweeping/mopping, and washing the dishes, which is why I am SO THANKFUL of our dishwasher and that my mom doesn’t hate it anymore. Makes life so easy!
My favorite chore? Probably vacuuming, now that we have a new vacuum that actually PICKS UP THE DIRT!
I despise unloading the dishwasher. My least favorite chore ever is putting away laundry. Oddly, though, I don’t mind scrubbing the bathroom!
I haaaaaate cleaning floors. Hate. I actually like doing laundry…when I had a washer/dryer in my apartment. Not so much anymore. 🙁
I am the laundry czar. I hate it when someone “helps” and messes up my system. The same goes for dishes. But I can’t STAND to dust, or vacuum either…
The funny (and weird?) thing is that I LOVE to clean other people’s houses! But mine? Not quite as much. 🙂 I love to use the swiffer on my floors and clean/wipe up counters, but I HATE to vacuum, dust, unload the dishwasher, and do laundry. I can’t imagine having a lot of kids, because my sisters have to do laundry/load and unload the dishwasher every day! The horror…
I don’t mind loading the dishwasher and I clean my own toilet (I have the upstairs bathroom mostly to myself). My wife refuses to let me do the laundry, even though I’ve offered many times. I don’t remember if I ever made pink t-shirts before. he he
