Our short trip to NYC to visit our friends Gina and Steve was exactly what I needed.
In Central Park
Gina and Steve showed us an amazing time, hosting us in their home, and taking us all over Manhattan (and some of Queens!) to fulfill our culinary wish list (which I will post about tomorrow!). We had many wonderful conversations and told many jokes. It felt so good to spend time relaxing with friends, not thinking about work or any other silly stressful things. I didn’t want to leave NYC and feel quit bummed that I don’t know when we will see them next! Steven and I get along really well with them, which is funny, considering we have only formed a relationship in emails and this is only the second time we’ve ever been together in person!

One more day off of work, then back to reality. Hopefully this awesome mood will last some time!

Glad you had such a great time! I wish I could have seen the Guggenheim when I was there. You and I will have to go back together soon! 🙂 (And Will & Steven I guess… ;)!)
We should all go together. There is so much to see and do there! I told Gina we should go back this summer 🙂

I LOVE the Guggenheim – I really want to go back to NYC soon…last great trip? FL with the fam. I’d love a grown-ups only trip sometime soon…

My last great vacay was Philly last summer, especially seeing my husband’s family.

I think Savannah last summer with my mom was one of the better vacations I’ve taken in awhile. Before that it was the cruise in 2008 with Jason.

I loved our trip to Yosemite in January, but I wouldn’t say that I felt totally relaxed and caught up by it. Not that I’m complaining!
Sounds like a wonderful trip! Without a doubt our trip to Alaska (Fall 09) was our best recent (and non-recent) vacation and I *cannot* wait to go back.
It makes me so happy that you and Steven had such a great time! I love taking trips and I have had some great ones, most recently our trip to Maine to visit my family. I also loved, loved, LOVED Ocracoke in the Outer Banks. Brian and I had such a good time there that we are planning to go back, maybe next summer (this summer is for Yellowstone and Glacier!).
I just got back from Florida!! It was a much needed vacation but it ended up falling at a crazy time.
