We decided to play Lego Star Wars for the Wii last night, and guess what? I really stink at it. It’s a game meant for 10 year-olds, and I can’t even figure it out. I had to go online and find instructions on where to go in some of the levels.
Video game playing FAIL. I guess I will just stick to Rock Band (and believe me, I am not even that good at that!).
Are you good at playing video games? Which game system and games do you like?
It’s funny, I was being a whiny baby last night told Steven I was sick of watching movies – that I didn’t find it relaxing – and wanted to do something different, so we played wii. That kind of seems like a regressive movement to me. Ha. At least it’s something different and requires some movement! We rarely play our Wii – we mostly use it to watch Netflix movies.
There are only a few games I’m comfortable playing. I love me some N64 mario kart. And I got really good at Halo on xbox when hanging out with my guy friends in college. But then I started to actually get good and they quit asking me to play… 🙁
Oh gosh I was JUST thinking about this a few hours ago when the kids wanted me to play Wii. I don’t enjoy it and I suck at it! Totally suck! Cannot stand anything to do with the steering wheel. Glad I’m not alone!
Oh gosh, you do not even WANT to know how bad I am at those driving games! SO BAD!
I love LEGO Star Wars. The vehicle games are the ones that are the most trouble for me… the other ones I can handle if I’m patient! Next up for you… LEGO Batman!! Awesome X 100!
I’m pretty good at video games I think!! But there are a lot of times that I get lost or frustrated and throw a little fit until Will figures it out for me. 🙂 Some of my favorite games are: Resident Evil 5 (Xbox, played & beat!), Avatar Game (Xbox, played & beat!), Super Mario World (Wii), Mariokart (Wii), Littlest Pet Shop Game (Wii).
Hmm.. I could go on. But I’m starting to get a headache thinking about the games I’ve played. 🙁
We have a Wii because I will only buy Nintendo. (I like that they have more family-friendly games, instead of creepy 1st person shooter games based on WWII or something…) I’m pretty good at Guitar Hero…in that I can play on “hard” without failing most of the time. I don’t actually play them that much because I get bored and easily frustrated.
I like Wii bowling and pool. John’s convinced me to play lego Harry Potter with him, but I have no clue what the hell I’m doing. The only ones I’m good at are guitar hero. I play a mean bass fake guitar!
I really wanted to “get into” the game “Little Big Planet”. It’s really cute and I do like it, but I just suck at the eye-hand-coordination.
We definitely use our PS3 for Netflix. I heart Netflix!
the only game I ever really got into was Mahjong on the DS. Go figure – my kids say it’s a game for old people.
I have a DS and a PS2. I bought the PS2 so I could play Tony Hawk (and watch DVDs) but now I rarely play it. Joey does from time to time- he now owns more games for my game system than I do. He has a Wii and I enjoy the sports and sports deca games and anything like that where you don’t have to know how to play video games to play. I’ve also done Rock Band but I’ve not practiced enough to be any good at it. I prefer the drums.
My all-time fav game is probably Mario Kart though. The N64 version was the one I learned on. 🙂
I am awful at video games. I have no idea where to go and if I play, I have to ask my kids to tell me what to do. My kids are awesome at video games.
So do I , I tend to get the hang of it after a while then I get bored and back to my non video game life. Mu husband loves it and can play all day if I let him.
Don’t even stress over this because Lego Star Wars sucks balls. Seriously it is the worst Lego game! I played it and hated it. It was all I could do to get through it and I’m a total gamer! Try Lego Batman, it’s awesome, fun, and challenging. 😀
I love Mario Kart for the Wii! It took me a LONG time to get good at it, but I absolutely love it. There are a few of the Sports Resort games I enjoy too: bowling, archery, etc. I pretty much stink at 99% of all video games though. 🙂
I’ll be honest, the main reason we bought a laptop years ago? Was so that I could follow along with the walk through while sitting next to Jason on the couch while he played Zelda on the Wii. Yeah. We use the walk-throughs for all those games 🙂
You should hear Jason and I when we play Lego Star Wars. “Where are you going????” “You kicked me off the screen!!!” “How could you miss that jump???” Yet somehow we managed to beat the game.
I’m pretty bad at most modern video games, too. My friend asked me to review his company’s MMO game that they launched online and I’m having the worst time playing it. I’m not sure how I’m going to review it.
For me, the world still revolves around Super Mario Bros. and the original Donkey Kong Country. Guitar Hero is fun though. Because it’s not an adventure game that you need to reason your way through.
Amen! Someone that relates to me. I am better at the more 2D games and the non-exploratory ones!
I’m not the best gamer in the world. Don’t play any on my computers. All console and portable games (PS3, PSP and Nintendo DS). I do play a few on my iPhone, but that would be Yahtzee and Tetris.
The LEGO Star Wars, Batman and Indiana Jones games are the ones I play a lot. I have a few cheat sheets I use for the different levels that I get stuck on, but they are fun to play. I’m still not that good, but I enjoy it.
Ha. I wonder which levels are the difficult ones in the Lego games. I felt lost in the first one! 🙂
I’m horrible at most video games. I can play some of the Wii ones but the only people I can beat are my younger sisters, and even then only sometimes!
